Impact the walking program at Carlingwood

Impact, the walking program at Carlingwood
In mid July a new walking program started at Carlingwood. This is not a replacement for the existing Walk-a-mall program, which is an individually administered program, it's new program tied to a research project being conducted by the Ottawa University Rehabilitation Sciences. The project's purpose is to study the impact of walking programs on Osteoarthritis of the knee and will take several years to complete. Individuals log their efforts on weekday mornings (Monday, Wednesday and Friday) at the tables set up in the food court. Because of the healthy nature of this program, membership is open to anyone wishing to participate.
