Title: MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR
Location: CARLINGWOOD SHOPPING CENTRE, Ottawa, Ontario
Reporting To: Operations Manager, Carlingwood Shopping Centre
Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervise all third party custodial staff ensuring compliance to work schedules and Occupational Health & Safety
Conduct and record daily property inspections to ensure a clean comfortable and safe environment for customers, retailers and staff.
Perform and/or coordinate preventative maintenance on mall systems and equipment in conjunction with Main Boss preventative maintenance program.
Maintain records for all common area and tenant utilities and major equipment.
Assists with coordination of tenant construction.
Assists with coordination of landlord projects
Monitors all access to landlord service/facility rooms (ie. Roof, mechanical, electrical, telecommunications) ensuring they are kept safe, clean, functional and accessible.
Responds to tenant calls regarding heating/cooling, roof leaks and other emergencies.
Respond to emergencies as required (ie. Floods, fire alarms, power failures)
Perform minor repairs as required
Assist with corporate environmental program
Assist with all monitoring, controls and testing of life safety systems.
Assist with the set up of mall equipment for marketing events and specialty leasing
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Secondary school diploma and related experience in building maintenance or equivalent experience.
Experience in reading construction drawings
Proven organizational and leadership skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Mechanically inclined with the ability to perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs
Fully competent in all related legislation and Occupational Health & Safety
Physically fit enabling reasonable lifting, pushing, pulling and climbing
Must be able to provide Clear Criminal Clearance Certificate
Ability to work independently and with other team members
On call for emergencies
